Royal Ascot Day 3 Tips

Love took top billing on the second day of racing from Royal Ascot with a thrilling run in the Prince of Wales’s Stakes.

All that glitters is gold at the halfway point of this year’s festival, with the Ascot Gold Cup the pick of the action on the third day.

Can the superlative Stradivarius steal the show again?

Royal Ascot Racing Tips – Day 3

14:30 (Norfolk Stakes) – Nakatomi – 8/1 EW 🏇

Neat performer on evidence of eye-catching debut win at Keeneland for Wesley Ward back in April; American yard has won this race twice in the last eight years.

15:05 (Hampton Court Stakes) – Mohaafeth – 11/8 🏇

Looks a leading player for William Haggis in this Group 3 contest after a flying 5L win in Listed company at Newmarket in May; good ground should play to his strengths.

15:40 (Ribblesdale Stakes) – Eshaada – 5/1 🏇

Easy-on-the-eye in first two runs including a Listed win at Newbury; three-year-old looks to be building up a formidable partnership with Jim Crowley and the pair mount a hat-trick bid today.

16:15 (Ascot Gold Cup) – Stradivarius – 10/11 🏇

Simply unstoppable when blitzing the opposition by 10L in this race last season and looked back to his best at seasonal reappearance here back in April. The one to beat yet again as he bids for a fourth Gold Cup on the bounce.

17:00 (Britannia Stakes) – Air To Air – 8/1 E/W 🏇

No signs of hot air of late with two from two record in 2021; kept on well in 2L win at Doncaster earlier this month to suggest he could be a serious each-way contender here.

17:35 (King George V Stakes) – Lord Protector – 16/1 EW 🏇

Every chance of reigning supreme here after a hat-trick of wins since debut; sterner test today but looks in good shape to stay 1m 4f on longest trip to date.

18:10 (Buckingham Palace Stakes) – Boardman – 9/1 EW 🏇

Bang in form for Tim Easterby’s yard after a trio of wins at Haydock, York and Chester, and a versatile performer too having achieved all three wins over different ground. One for the shortlist on that run of form.
